Biography
Reverend Juliet Kent- Hemphill, Pastor/Teacher
Reverend Juliet Kent-Hemphill is an ordained elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, having been ordained in 1999. She pastored for five years at Bethel A.M.E., Caruthersville, Mo, five years at St. John A.M.E., Kennett, MO, and nine years at Bethel A.M.E., Yakima, WA., and she is presently pastoring First A.M.E., Indio, CA.
She was a member of Perry Chapel AME in Church in Charleston, MO. 23 years. At Perry Chapel, she served as an associate minister. Her ministry primarily focused on the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional state of families. She has fostered workshops and conferences designed to empower families in all aspects of their lives. 
She holds a master degree in Business Management. And a degree in early childhood education prior to accepting the call into full time ministry she spent years in the class room teaching at the kindergarten and elementary grade level. She has developed relationship and communication workshops for churches and community. 
Reverend Hemphill served as coordinator of PNWC Women in Ministry. She was also the President of the NAACP of the Yakima unit, and Vice President of the United Minister Alliance of Yakima, WA 
Reverend Hemphill has a passion for people and desires to make a difference in the lives of those she encounters. She proclaims that all that she is and will be is according to God’s amazing grace.
